Dave & Jim Slick Ensemble

Dave and Jim grew up in Wilson Borough (a suburb of Easton, PA). Both studied music and piano accordion under Worman Rush. Jim started playing the piano at age 5, in 1970, and guitar at age 11.  Guitar is Jim's primary and favorite instrument. He has played in numerous bands over the years and done a ton of studio work.  He is the lead guitarist and lead vocalist of a group called Hydra and lead guitarist in Monsters of Rock. Jim plays acoustic guitar and acoustic bass when he plays with the Ensemble. Dave has played the accordion for nearly 50 years, and is self-taught on the diatonic button box and the 1/2 chromatic button box.  While Dave and Jim have played together many times over the years, they recently formed the Ensemble to share their music with others. Sometimes they play gigs and alternate sets with the acoustic version of Hydra. Come and listen, and you'll have fun and leave a happier person!
