Dave Alexander and his Big Texas Swing Band

Born on The Cherokee strip in central Oklahoma, Dave Alexander grew up with Western Swing, Jazz and Big Band. A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Jazz Studies, Alexander is no stranger to the road and has performed with some of the biggest names in musical history. He has toured and performed with artist's ranging from Frank Sinatra to George Strait, Toby Keith to Sheryl Crow.

The Four-Time GRAMMY Nominee has been Inducted into numerous Halls of Fame and has received the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists Five - Times, including Group of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Entertainer Of The Year.

Dave's continues his love for Western Swing with his Big Texas Swing Band. He has performed with Asleep at the Wheel and Willie Nelson and has appeared at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo consecutively for 14 years.

He currently tours with the hit musical " A Ride With Bob" the life story of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

Dave has been recognized as having created the finest Western Swing Big Band ever assembled. As a former member of the Texas Playboys himself, Alexander combines the heritage and success of yesterday's great western swing music with the fever and excitement of his own compositions and today's hottest young musicians. The results remain unprecedented.

In addition to his touring schedule, Dave and his golden Palomino Missy have made hundreds of personal appearances at some of the biggest Rodeos in the country including the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
