This Can't Be Love - Lola Youngman with the Dave Youngman Quartet

DAVE YOUNGMAN is an accomplished musician on piano, guitar, sax, clarinet and flute. He attended the prestigious High School of Music & Art in New York City, and after college, played clarinet and sax in the Army Band. A multi-instrumentalist and composer, he toured the East Coast and Midwest in the 70's with several rock/soul/jazz groups, and has lived in the Raleigh area since 1976. Besides his many instruments, Dave also displays his versatility by the many musical settings in which he performs, which include solo jazz piano at the N.C. Governor's mansion, playing bass with jazz fusion pioneer Jeremy Steig, taking a rocking guitar solo with one of several former rock bands, or laying down some boogie woogie piano and tenor sax with his blues band, Marie LeBleu and the Comitz.

LOLA YOUNGMAN studied piano for 10 years. She majored in Music at Central Michigan University, with emphasis on voice and piano. She also sang in several choral ensembles. She is certified as both a classroom teacher and Music Teacher.
After moving to Raleigh, Lola began teaching piano while studying jazz improvisational piano techniques with Eddie Paolantonio, and she worked as a solo pianist in several local clubs. Currently, Lola is a part time Elementary Music Teacher and part time singer. Lola uses her creativity putting on musical programs with the children. She writes most of her material. She brings her top singing group to a competition every year, and they place very highly every year. Lola also is a member of a vocal quartet called "Capital Express". They sing accompanied by the triangle area's big band, the Casablanca Orchestra.
Although Lola is a big Diana Krall fan, she has developed her own individual singing style. She's been performing with Dave Youngman's group since 2002. In the summer of 2002, Lola and Dave were married! They continue to make beautiful music together!
