Bio

David was born in the northern province of Normandy, France in the town of LE HAVRE, on the 27th of February, 1972. Very early in his childhood, he developed a strong passion for music. In 1989, at 17 years of age, he played the bass guitar for the first time and has not put it down since. At the same time, David formed a trio together with another guitar player (Frederic Le Bouette) and a drummer (Joel Lachevre), calling themselves 'Torment'. For three years, they devoted themselves to writing and playing exclusively original songs. Shortly after, David integrated with another band named 'Never Seen', who played hard rock cover songs. With the band, David recorded an album of five song titles. In 1991, David joined another band playing original French pop/rock songs. David recorded two albums with the band.
In 1996, David made his way for MONTPELLIER in the south of France, where he integrated with a band named 'Indy'. David and the band toured France for two albums, playing an impressive one hundred concerts in one year. At the same time, David collaborated with a song writer and author named 'Robin MANCEL' to record two albums and play several gigs in southern France. Simultaneously, in a collaboration with 'Pascal CAVRERA', David piloted a personal project album of five titles. In 1998, David joined a new band named 'Street Compagny'. With jazz and blues cover songs as their genre of preference, they played in pubs along the southern coast of France. In 1999, David played original songs with 'Stevo's teen' band. Together, they recorded three albums, and performed an astounding four hundred gigs in five years. David also played with the band throughout Europe, including Germany, Italy, Belgium. In 2003, David studied for one year at 'Jazz school Michel PETRUCCIANI' at MONTPELLIER. In early 2005, David left France for Toronto, Canada where he is pursuing a musical career with bands and artists, both in the studio and in concert. He is also employing his skills in music reading and writing, and making creative musical arrangements. Thank you for reading this biography. David cordially looks forward to discussing a collaboration.
