Ain't no doubt I'll win

Written By: David Bass

Ain't no Doubt I'll win
c Dave Bass

A
All my bridges burnin' down,
No one left to turn to -
Such a dark and lonely town,
I'm down on my knees

A
(So I'm) packin' up my old guitar,
Turnin' in my number,
Won't be long now, won't be far -
'Til I'm free

B
So I'm going -
(I'll) Keep on rollin'
There ain't no doubt what I'm heading for

Yeah, I'm flyin -
Keep on tryin'
Got to keep my head thru thick and thin...

Cause I'm going...
I'm heading out to win.
_________

(Solos)
_________

A
Every day I hope and pray
Love will up and find me -
Just can't seem to find my way
I'm lost in the dark

A
No one 'round to lend a hand
Left here on my lonesome
Sinkin' face down in the sand
There must be a way...

B
So I'm movin'
Keep on groovin' -
Set my feet on higher ground

There's a reason
For each season
I won't give up, I won't look down...

Yeah I'm leaving, (baby) -
I'm leavin' this old town....
_________

(Jam/OUt-tro)
I just can't stick around -

I'm headin' out to win,
You know I'm gonna win,
I'll stick thru thick and thin...

(Over fade) -
Forgive me for my sin...

The notes in brackets are notes to myself for singing & interpretation.
The audio clip you have is the pre-production clip of this track, with my original 'scratch' vocal.

I am finishing the final production on it now. The song actually starts out very quiet and soft,

with acoustic guitar, brushes, upright bass, etc - similar to the James Taylor 70's pop ethic. Then

it adds pedal steel, electric guitar, and broadens into a full jam at the end with me blowing

soprano sax over the rhythm section and vocal.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Dave Bass

So Close to my Heart

Written By: Robert Bass

So Close to my Heart
Robert Bass

A
So Close to my heart
Although you're kissing someone new
So close or apart
I'm still in love with you

A
You danced in my arms
But now you dance with someone new
The thrill of your charms
Has captured his heart too

B
Yes we're so close but so far apart
Memories of you never fade
You won a love but you broke my heart
By breaking each promise you made

A
I thought that you cared
I never knew you played a part
Is it just an affair
I keep so close to my heart?
