Bio
Guitar player for almost 30 years. Professionally, about 25 years - live and studio work. Most at home in rock, pop, metal, funk, blues, pop-country. But also solid in pop-jazz and other styles.
Most recent BIG project was with my band, BUMP. We recorded our debut CD in Hollywood in 2005 with a guitar hero of mine (and L.A. session guitarist and guitarist for the band, Supertramp) Carl Verheyen producing.
BUMP's alter-ego is SingWithTheBand - karaoke with a LIVE band. As 'music director' I made the lyric books and music charts that got us to a request list of over 500 songs.
Currently working on solo CD, "Have Amp Will Travel" with Lance Morisson (Don Henley) on bass and Rodger Carter (Rick Springfield) on drums.
What makes Dave (okay, ME) different than any other guitar player out there? Well, I simply want to play guitar for other artists. Y'know, as a sideman/hired-gun. The spotlight really ain't my thing. I dream of being on the road with a great band, getting the chance to play guitar on some great music every day and night.
I want this so bad that I promise to (from day one) literally give a good portion of my pay to charity. And someday when I'm able to have put enough money into the bank that I might be able to live a very modest life off the interest, I PROMISE to give EVERYTHING I make as a guitar player to CHARITY for the rest of my life.
