Discography

Currently I am focusing on venues and audiences that are looking for and enjoy popular "cover" tunes they can sing and dance along to.

I do throw in an occasional original every now and then, and I hope someday to release my own CD.

Bio

You have a lot of choices out there when you decide to have live music at at your event. Make sure you know what you're getting and what you're paying for. With me, there's no question - I will work to make your event a success.

I've often been caught saying I'd play in a phone booth if there was room and someone on the line! I love to play anywhere, anytime and would love to play at your venue or next event. With over 17 years stage experience, and the last five having played professionally, I know what you're looking for in an acoustic act. My number one goal at any show is to entertain your patrons or guests, keeping them engaged and "in their seats." With so many choices today it's hard enough to get people in the door, and worse still if your musical entertainment is running them out!

Every aspect of my show takes into consideration you, your staff and most of all your guests. From starting on time, to ensuring proper volume levels, to crafting a great "sound" for your room and having a wide variety of popular songs and sing-a-longs, to helping you promote upcoming events you can rest assured that your best interests are my best interests.

My repertoire ranges from folk to blues, bluegrass to rock, country and old-time, modern alternative "unplugged" favorites and about anything else I can sing, enjoy playing and feel the audience would want to hear. With a songbook of over 200 songs to choose from, I rely on and encourage my audience to make requests or suggestions for songs I should play or add. Once I get a feel for the crowd on hand, I can easily tailor my show to their liking.

Additionally, my instruments and gear are top of the line. The results you hear reflect the time, effort and money I've spent to give your audience a truly professional and personal experience. After all, even Mozart sounds bad when played through a $2.00 stereo!

Lastly, in working with me you'll gain a professional trustworthy partner to work with aside from the musical aspects of my act. Rest assured that your choice in hiring me will be the beginning of a long and successful relationship onstage and off.

Thank you for your consideration,
Dave Blanton
