Biography

The intelligently-crafted songs penned by Washington, DC-born singer/songwriter Dave Goodrich have woven their waves into nearly eighty television shows and interactive media, including multiple episodes of MTV's MADE, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Australia's version of Big Brother, and Martha Stewart's syndicated show Martha, and specials such as CMT's Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team. A & E, The Travel Channel, The Biography Channel, The Food Network, HGTV, The Discovery Channel HD, The History Channel, PBS, and numerous other networks have also aired a mélange of productions bearing Dave Goodrich's musical signature. Dave is currently in the studio mixing down his upcoming guitar-driven, rock homage to humanity, World Gone Round, which is scheduled for release in 2009. One More Turn—a track from this much-anticipated collection of songs—has already rocked its way into two dozen television shows, including VH1's I Love Toys. In addition to extensive placement on TV shows aired in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, and the UK, Dave's first solo album—15 Minutes—has received radio airplay on commercial and college stations and charmed listeners and reviewers all over the country.

A musical visionary who shares his reflections on mankind through his insightful, soulful songs, Dave Goodrich subtly lures his listeners into a greater awareness of the world and their place within it. He firmly rests his heartfelt melodic vocal offerings on a rock-solid bed of rhythm and drive to awaken all who listen to a better dream. He aims to change the world one beat at a time, while entertaining every audience he encounters along the way.

A deep love of performing has kept Dave onstage throughout the stages of his life: teenage turmoil in Mexico City, California college capers, Mind's i drummer days in DC, and his current incarnation as a Virginia-based solo artist and front man for Dave Goodrich & the Soul Retrievers. Performing in countless venues from the famed punk haven Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco to DC's cool-edged 9:30 Club to the Manhattan landmark The Back Fence in Greenwich Village, Dave has left his spirited musical mark on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. Along the way, he has shared bills with many other gifted artists, including Jewel and Howie Day. A San Francisco State University music alumnus, Dave is a voting member of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The GRAMMYS).
