"DaveJ - Tribal Techno"

Simply put: DaveJ Kicks Arse!

Having just worked on a collaboration with Dave, jammed with him and having also seen him live, I can guarantee, this guy is worth the download and if you get to see him live, you will be blown away.

Every sound, from the techno drums, bass, sound fx and slide Didj, are created and looped live.

Add him to your list and if you're in the QLD or even just in Oz, see him live if you can. - The Molotov (www.myspace.com/themolotov1)

"Xposed - the independent artist"

"Incorporating the use of didgeridoo into his music was potentially a risky move for musician DaveJ. Essentially, it could have pigeonholed him as an ambient performer, put his music on the shelf alongside other traditional Australian styles or got lost amongst soft instrumentals.

Yet, with its heady blend of rhythmic beats infused into the didgeridoo style, there is certainly no risk of that - DaveJ's original music stands out from the crowd...

...Hearing DaveJ's EP, it isn't surprising to find international dance music is his inspiration. There is an inherently international flavour to the recording, strong dance beats mixed in smoothly with the didgeridoo - a combination that the multi-instrumentalist pulls off incredibly well."

Interview by Eva Roberts, Pg 27 Autumn 2008 edition of Australian Musician Magazine - Australian Musician Magazine
