Dave Kardas

The Dave Kardas Band is made up of talented trained musicians that play many styles of music. What makes this band unique is it's ability to move in and out of all styles of music, classic Rock, Blues, Country, R&B, Soul & Jazz. We cover music from James Brown, Prince, BTO, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, The Cars, Sister Sledge, Whitesnake, Stevie Ray Vaughn, & Tom Petty, David Bowie, Sade, Aretha Franklin, Jill Scott, Bruno Mars. Pharrell, DKB has much success in these different venues because of thier ability to vary the repertoire based on the type of crowd.

The group is headed up by Dave Kardas, backed by Brian Buster, keyboardist Ryan Kowalczyk, drummers Dean Yalanis and Justin Ottavianno. Rasheem Dixon and Shane Coverdale head up the vocals. We provide our own equipment and have our own PA, Lighting system too.

Our recent performances include, Dinosaur BBQ Harlem, The Shrine Harlem, Cafe Atlantique Milford, Splash Westport(now Pearl), The Fez Stamford, Ct Open New Haven, Somethin Jazz Club NYC, Groove NYC, Toads Place New Haven, Sounds of Summer Westport and Fairfield, Pow Wow in Greenwich, Iridium Jazz Club and a couple trips to Austin, Texas for some shows there in 2011. Also a TV appearance on WTNH New Haven and airplay on internet and college radio stations in the US and internationally.

While DKB cover many tunes by artist listed above in certain rooms, we recorded a CD "Fire & Ice", primarily Jazz and Fusion at Carriage Hill in 2009, we are back in the studio at Horizon Music Studios recording a new CD that features Blues, Rock and some Jazz. We are looking forward to 2017 and show dates will be announce soon here and NYC. Hopefully another trip to Texas too!
