Dave Koons is a singer songwriter/ producer. As an acoustic performer he has a wide variety of classic and modern favorites for live entertainment and weddings and other special events. He also has a wide selection of Civil War period favorites and can perform at trade shows, re enactments and historic events. His song 'A Soldiers Letter' (on this site) is a hit based on the experiences of a Civil War soldier and related in modern terms. Dave is also well versed in Holiday music for those needs.

Mostly known as the founder of South Of Sane and veteran session guitarist; Dave is revisiting his personal catalog in a Todd Rundgren kind of way.

Radio friendly guitar riffs and strong soulful vocals. Acoustic shows are very entertaining with Dave's vast catalog. Electric shows are...well electric.

Dave has been involved with major rock and country acts over the years and the experience shows.

A full lineup will exhibit a cellist and female backup vocalists to enhance Dave and the band's interior lineup's powerful performance. All senses beware!

What sets Dave Koons apart from the others is the
merging of amazing musicianship and quality song/ lyric content. A high powered John Mellencamp. Burt Bacharach on steroids.

Influences are The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Garbage, Lindsey Buckingham, Led Zeppelin, Tommy Shaw, Richie Ranno, Jamie Hoover, Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nugent, Derek St Holmes, Aerosmith, Andrew Lloyd Weber, The Association, The Foo Fighters, The Black Crowes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Al Dimeola, Slash, Warren DeMartini, Burt Bacharach, Jeff Beck, Richie Blackmore, Steve Morse, Steve Howe, Alex Lifeson, Neil Schon, Steve Lukather, Waddy Wachtel, John Mellencamp-- many others.
