I am sitting at my computer trying to write what I feel...What a stellar song. You have truly captured the emotion and the feeling necessary to create a well written tune. I don't impress easily, but this is a moving story. The piano is exquisit and the vocal track follows suite. Congratulations. You have managed to send a very special message. I can only hope that everyone that hears this beautiful piece of poetry and music takes away some part of what you are saying.

Some people say I was born a musician. It's all I've ever known - in fact I don't remember not knowing how to read music or being around it. I studied saxophone in college, but have played piano since age 3. Now at age 29 I play professionally and I teach music for a living. I do this to pay the bills, but what I really love to do is create and write music. I hope I am able to continue to fill this site with music that moves the listener in some way. The ultimate high for me would be to hear one of my songs on the radio.
The first song added to this site was a song I wrote after my own Grandfather passed away in May of 2005 - it's really a tribute to all of the Grandfathers out there...some of the lines in the song reflected my own memories, and other lines were inspired by other grandfather figures in my life - but all whom were grandfathers to someone. The song is special too because it brings up the importance of the father-son-grandfather relationship and how important it is for a dad to simply talk and spend time with his son.
