Reminiscent of old-school Mississippi hill-country bluesmen R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough, Lange conjures up his own spicy brew of foot-stompin', slide-playin', juke joint sludge. Peppered with the raw sounds of midwestern blue collar rock , Lange adds a unique blend of unrefined, trance-inducing guitar rhythms and smokey bar-room vocals forging a groove that can only be described as pulsating and hypnotic. Soulful moans call out from a haunted past echoing the condition of the human heart in hardship and yearning; love and life. When you stir it all together you have Dave Lange: Raw. Primal. Real.
