"From: Gracious Listener"

You both play honestly. It was just what I needed. There's nothing like pure music to make you feel alive.

Please Return - Thank You

Bio

For as long as I can remember, I have loved music. At the age of 8, I started playing the trumpet in my elementary school band. Throughout Jr. High and early High School I continued my musical interests and played a number of different brass instruments. At an early age, I was also fascinated with the guitar so my parents bought me a starter electric guitar and I took some very basic guitar lessons. I didn’t stick with the lessons very long and my interest in learning how to play the guitar faded as I reached High School. It seemed I was more interested in sports and my girlfriend than playing music. Besides, at that time it wasn't "cool" to be a musician, so I focused all of my energy into being a jock and unfortunately put music on the back burner.

Shortly after high school, I married my high school sweet heart, Carrie. Carrie insisted that I was a good musician and gave me the inspiration to start playing the guitar again. Growing up in Missouri, I had a strong association with country music, so my early influence came from artists such as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Keith Whitley, and Randy Travis. I never really took any formal lessons, but I taught myself how to strum a few chords and play by ear.

At the age of 22 I joined the Military and spent the next 4 years at Vandenberg Air Force Base, in California. During this time, I wrote my first 3 or 4 songs and got up enough courage to play some open mic's at the South Side Coffee Shop in Lompoc, California. Because of some battles with stage fright and not knowing which direction to take my music, I once again put my music on the back burner.

After 4 years in the military my wife and I settled down in the foothills just west of Denver, Colorado and now we live in the mountains of Evergreen, Colorado. The past couple years I have “re-dedicated” my life to music and I now seem to have found my musical direction. I really enjoy writing new songs and playing my Washburn.

I feel that God has blessed me with a wonderful gift and it would be a shame not to share it with others. I hope my music can touch you as much as it has touched me.
