"Jimmy Wayne, Sarah Buxton & Friends Surprise Writer Dave Pahanish"

Music City is a town that celebrates the songwriter…especially when it comes to a milestone birthday.

Tuesday, September 7, country artists and friends came out to surprise hit songwriter Dave Pahanish (“American Ride” – Toby Keith, “I Will” – Jimmy Wayne) for his 40th birthday at Third & Lindsley Bar & Grill in Nashville. The stage was a revolving door of talent, with performances by duo Buxton Hughes (Sarah Buxton and Jedd Hughes,) Jonathan Singleton, Brad Tursi, Hugh Mitchell, Eric Paslay, Marcel, Jessica Andrews, Emily West, Jimmy Wayne and more!

Dave’s wife, Kristin Lee Pahanish, had been quietly scheming for weeks while she arranged the superstar guest list of Dave’s friends, fans and artist admirers. One of Dave’s biggest fans is Jimmy, who performed “Sara Smile” and the No. 1 song “Do You Believe Me Now,” also written by Dave.

“He’s so creative and talented and it’s a shame that Dave Pahanish is not out there on the road touring as an amazing superstar,” Jimmy praised.

Dave and his band, The Rust Belt, rocked the night away. He was humbled by the surprise party-turned-show in his honor.

“I love you all and I’m so honored to call you my friends. Thanks for being a part of one of the best days of my life,” Dave said.

Discography

AMERICAN RIDE (originally titled "This American Life") is the title track of Toby Keith's latest CD. Unlike most of Toby's songs, he didn't write this one. "I've only ever done, like, four or five songs in 16 albums that I didn't write, and this one sounds like I wrote it," Toby says the song "makes fun of all the wackiness that goes on in this country. They sent it to me to listen to and said 'You're the only guy in the world that could get away with cutting it,'" says Toby. "I held it for about a year; it was so different I thought I'd be tired of it. I just left it on my iPod and kept listening to it, and it never got old."

DO YOU BELIEVE ME NOW is a Billboard #1 hit & the title track from Jimmy Wayne's 2008 CD, which Dave co-produced."When I met Joe West (Dave's co-writer & co-producer on this song) and Dave Pahanish, they had such a unique sound, and it was one of those sounds that I feel like you only get when someone has just arrived in Nashville," Jimmy noted. "They’re not scared, they’re not jaded, they’re not followin’ any rules. They’re just doin’ what they love to do and what sounds great."

I WILL is another Billboard hit from Jimmy Wayne's 2008 CD, which Dave co-produced

Bio

Dave Pahanish has had more success in the past few years than most singer/songwriters have in a career. After moving to Nashville in 2006, Dave was offered 2 publishing deals in his first week in Music City. Since then, he has had two # 1 hits: American Ride by Toby Keith (the fastest rising single of Toby’s career) and Do You Believe Me Now by Jimmy Wayne (who Dave also produced). Dave has also had songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and many more. As a performer, Dave recently completed the Country Throwdown Tour, which featured several artists and songwriters including Montgomery Gentry, Jamey Johnson, Little Big Town, and several others.
