Bio

Dave Rosser and The Wreckage is a truly unique experience. Never bounded by genre, his music is just simply that of four american boys, and he writes the tunes. Some would call it Dance/Pop, others might say psychedelic rock, he just lives to play. His brand of Pop emanates from a group of Nebraskans that transplanted themselves to Los Angeles. The group consists of monster guitarist/singer/songwriter Dave Rosser, 23, and session keyboardist Andy Stavas, 21, who have been long time friends since they've played in their first highschool band together. They moved from Lincoln, NE out to LA at the same time and lived together for the first two years in the big city. They quickly delved into the LA music scene and wound up getting their break with Party Rocker Andrew W.K. He invited them to record for Dub/Reggae Legend Lee "Scratch" Perry on his then upcoming album, "Repentance", which was grammy nominated last year. Andrew W.K. produced the record and gave them some good insight not only on music but on life.
Bassist Benji Vander Broek, 27, and drummer Ryland Steen, 29, are both touring musicians. Vander Broek has toured with Benton Paul/David Archuleta, Annie Stela, etc. Steen is the drummer for Reel Big Fish and is also touring with American Idol winner Kris Allen. Dave Rosser grew up with Ryland's younger brother Drew Steen, and the two are still best friends. He also played with Benji's younger brother Jono Vander Broek in a highschool band called Oranjesta with Stavas. The obvious deep-rooted friendships have been the seed for Rosser's inspiration. He truly feels comfortable around these guys, as they all huff it around touring in Rosser's '98 conversion Van. The fights are usually just over what Brat Pack movie they should watch. Rosser went through a lot of different projects over the years and eventually ended up building this Nebraska super-group. Dave Rosser and The Wreckage is a neverending experience as the music evolves and grows, just as the seasons change. His creativity is constantly churning from different influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, The Police, Square, John Mayer, etc. The story of these Nebraskans lives in their music, and is the vehicle for their life and all its successes.
