Bio

Since the days of singing along to tapes while constructing Lego towers, Dave Sala’s musical career has taken flight with the release of his first full-length album, “beautiful noise”.
Adopted from the Philippines at the age of five, family and relationships have always been important to Sala. So too, was music.
From an early age, music was Sala’s thread of commonality as he traveled from new house to new house with his family.
Being exposed to a wide range of music while growing up has given Sala an appreciation for all music, though during his teenage years he was not particularly drawn to developing his musical talents.
Cycling and drawing were among his main pursuits until a cycling accident injured his back.
Directing his vast energies towards music, from piano lessons to guitar lessons with famed Blues Rocker Harry McGonigal, Sala eventually showcased his talents with bands HigherStill and The Nodding Dogs.
Now supporting local band UNIVIDED as their drummer/percussionist, Sala is also performing his own original music in local coffeeshops and venues in the Tri-State area and beyond.
Sala engages his audience with his compassionate and honest lyrics, adept guitar playing and goofy humor in between sets. Make sure to check out the calendar on his website to see where he’ll be performing next, you won’t want to miss it.

"One thing is for sure; Dave Sala has a definite sense of melody that draws his audience in. The truth in his lyrics coupled with the clarity and control in his voice cuts through well-crafted guitar riffs. Want to catch a glimpse of what I'm talking about? Check out the music section of his website."

“He is a very talented musician with the ability to get everyone into his music with songs that are hip, catchy, and pleasing to the ear.”
- Kevin Gabriel –

“Dave Sala combines his lyrical genius and mastery of the guitar to create music that both inspires and humbles. With an uplifting message and a moving beat, Sala delivers track after unforgettable track. Whether it's the upbeat track "I Never Thought You" or the ballad "Is You…” Sala's amazing arrangements and strong voice cuts clear and is understandable to the heart and mind.”
- Kimberly Fisher –

“Dave Sala is basically an eclectic blend of percussive acoustic alt/rock and folk with a twist of thoughtful and compassionate pop.”
