Ok MR. DAVE STEFFEN!!! Once again a typical Standard Dave Steffen CD. Geeze, again and again!! The same old unbelieveable MASTER guitar work. Blues -rock-acoustic, blazing lead riffs and soulful licks that would bring a tear to Osama Bin Laden. And the same old GREAT songwritng. First you groove so thick I had to clean the wax build up in my ears after the 1st listen. Come On!! Does "Rock River" have to be so cool and oozing with feel?? And the beauty and songwriting skill of SEASIDE LADY made me walk funny from lack of concentration on my feet while listening!! IMPECABLE GUT FEELING SLIDE GUITAR all thru this record!! Vocals the same old guts and feeling with the most quality harmonies!! I think I'm just gonna burn my cd in fear!! Wisconsin doesn't deserve talent, dedication, and integrity in music as GREAT as this!! I'll be wearing this copy out quick!! Any one reading this is just plain totally losing a awesome chunk of life if they don't add this Album of music to their collection.For myself and all the musicians and music people I-- DARRYL SAINT JOHN-- - St John

"When I first heard Dave Steffen play guitar, I think the word that came to mind was 'tasty'.
That word perfectly describes Dave's music because, like a gourmet meal, nothing overpowers anything else. But each bite is a perfect blend of whatever is in the dish. In Dave's case, the dish is made up of diverse influences and a healthy dose of original sound picked up during years of touring North America. And when the meal is finished, you don't have room leftover for dessert!
His van has more than 400,000 miles on it, which is testament to the fact that Dave Steffen lives and breathes to play his brand of blues and blues-rock. From having a top-40 hit as a teenager with The Love Society to years of rocking the midwest in Sunblind Lion and finally to San Francisco where he became a fixture in the local music scene -- Dave Steffen has honed his craft.
.....He's as confortable ripping through a rocker as he is wailing on the slide or playfully weaving Spanish-style riffs in an acoustic setting. And now that he's back in his home state of Wisconsin with The Dave Steffen Band, I defy you to sit still while he is on the stage. .... - Len Nelson

Anyone who has heard the Dave Steffen Band play live understands that their music is more than just notes. With eleven albums and literally thousands of live appearances under his belt, Dave Steffen has made his music a way of life. Since Dave received his first recording contract at the tender age of fifteen, he has devoted his life to playing, recording and living his music.
A Wisconsin native, Dave moved to San Francisco in 1986 and was fully involved with the incredible sounds of the music scene there. It was in San Francisco Bay Area that Dave played with and opened for top acts and many great musicians, i.e., Robin Trower, Davey Pattison, Ronnie Montrose, and members of Journey to name a few; throughout his career. It was during his stay in San Francisco in spring 1993, when he was tapped for an opening slot for a tour with Robin Trower.
In 1995, Dave returned to his native Wisconsin, where he first earned his reputation as a top-flight axe man. The trio, simply called the Dave Steffen Band, packs a live punch which gets the crowd on its feet every time.
In past years the Dave Steffen Bands' recordings have been played on an HBO movie and over 30 times on The Young and Restless soap opera, which has been aired in Norway, Canada, France and Germany and Italy. This also included two guest appearances on The Young and Restless show. As well as songs being aired on many radio stations abroad.
The Dave Steffen Band has been through many changes throughout the years and as always DSB puts on an excellent show. Master guitar work. Blues rock acoustic, blazing lead riffs and soulful licks, great song writing and excellent harmonies make up the Dave Steffen Band.
