"DWB's New CD 'Refreshing'"

CD review - Bozeman Daily Chronicle

"Interview with Dave Walker"

- Who were your influences as a singer and guitarist?

I was influenced very early on by black American singers, who I think in those days had more air-time in England than in the US, but gladly for us for obvious reasons. So I would have to say Paul Robeson, Hoagy Carmichael - a white guy, - Odetta and Sister Rosseta Tharpe. The women I always thought brought a greater depth of feeling to singing as I think they still do. Guitar players - I would say Lonnie Mack's. Listen to "The Wham Of That Memphis Man" on Fraternity Records - 'nough said. - DME

"Sitting down with the enigmatic Dave Walker"

RZ: What inspires your lyrics?

DW: Cooperation with someone else. Jimmy comes up with music and I find it pretty easy to write lyrics to it. A lot of it is autobiographical. I’ve been on the planet a long time now so I have a lot to draw from. We’ve just finished a CD. And I have to say, it’s a great piece of work— and our guys will tell you if they don’t think it’s good enough. There’s a lot of integrity there. - Bozone Events and Entertainment

"Rock Legend Makes a Come Back in Virginia City"
