Biography

David Jennings knows that not just a good band of musicians but a great band is required to compete in the entertainment industry. A great group of musicians coupled with a great road crew are required to be able to make such statement of competitive nature.
Seven years ago David moved to the capitol of country music-Music City, U.S.A- a.k.a Nashville, Tennessee. Little did he know he was looking destiny right in the face. He found the best musicians around and is on the move to your town to turn it upside down!! Of course it didn’t happen overnight. Over the course of about a year, there was a lot of time spent listening to different players and looking for the right people, it didn’t stop there either. There was a lot of rehearing and gelling going on behind the scenes too. After the dust settled, David named the band “Phoenix” after good friends and lead guitar player Ed Smoak who was taking names one night with his guitar in hand. Ed is currently playing with Dave’s friend Eric Church and doing quite well.
David Jennings & “The Band Phoenix” played down on Nashville’s own Broadway as well as road dates around the county. They were one of the first to play “The Stage” when it first opened in 2001. They also play at “Legends” and world famous “Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge” off and on for about the last two years.
David and the guys spent the better part of five years playing in the world famous Printers Alley at “The Fiddle & Steel Guitar Bar” for owner Allison Bradsher. Through these performance opportunities David was presented with the offer to do a project to entice Tim McGraw to produce David’s next CD after the current tour with Faith. This year David released “Better off Late than Never”, his first full blown CD. You can find his music on multiple web-sites being played time to time. David Jennings is currently under management with Discoverstars.com, which is helping David to advance his career.
David Jennings is also consistent with working on stage and giving that his presentation is the best that can be. David has always enjoyed playing anything country, new or old. He’s not afraid to take a stab at most types of rock either. David has a particular affection for southern rock, growing up in South Carolina. That “whatever it takes” mentality and attention to detail has provided him with the opportunity to share stages with the likes of Rhett Akins, Dave Lee Murphy, Ty Herndon, James Bonamy, Lorrie Morgan, Little Jo Dee Messina, T. Graham Brown, Tim McGraw, .38 Special, The Marshal Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet, Tracy Lawrence, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Roy Parnell, Earl Thomas Conley, Darryl Singletary, Mindy McCready, Tracy Byrd, Vince Gill, Yankee Grey and many, many more……..
