Biography

Dave Yules is a fusion of Indie Rock and Folk/Pop, with a little soul and a solid groove. His Acoustic Indie Rock style fuses Folk Rock, with a likeness to Paul Simon, Damien Rice, and Ray LaMontagne, with alternative artists like Jeff Buckley, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz. Other influences include The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Radiohead, Ryan Adams; even The Winter Pills and Vampire Weekend. All of this is supplemented by a percussionist who leans towards Hip Hop, and a Jazz/Pop bassist.

Wherever Dave Yules plays, there is always an overwhelming sense from the audience that they are watching history in the making. Frequently this idea is vocalized. It doesn't stop there, as requests for albums far outnumber available inventory. People are excited about Dave Yules.

It's his voice that attracts their attention. Its strong enough to compete with street racket; far overpowering his guitar. He sings eloquent folk and jazz/pop melodies, but belts out Eddie Vedder-esque screams at times. When busking, pulling in $50 in two hours playing solely original music is not a rare feat.
