Bio
A transplanted Arizonan living and performing in Austin since 1979 (now NYC), David Hammond’s music paints a tapestry as wide as the open desert sky. Over the course of his 35 years of performing, his guitar virtuosity has been featured on stage with Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely, Butch Hancock, Kimmie Rhodes, Kelly Willis, Sara Hickman, Tish Hinojosa, Nancy Griffith, Rosie Flores, Ray Campi, David Halley and many others.
His songwriting credits include collaborations with Jimmie Dale Gilmore (who received three grammy nominations), Kevin Welch, Fred Koller, Don McCalister, and Tom Littlefield
