Bio
Dave Yaden (vocals/keys) and Candace Devine (vocals) joined forces after co-writing a few songs together and instantly feeling a natural chemistry. After playing a few local shows together in Los Angeles and gaining major industry buzz, the two artists decided to form David & Devine in early 2010.
Both artists had a great amount of success prior to David & Devine. Yaden is a Grammy award winning ...songwriter who has written and toured with artists such as Lady Antebellum, One Republic, Josh Kelley, and Eric Hutchinson. Devine is a professional vocalist who has toured and recorded with Christina Aguilera, Tony Lucca, StevenVan Zant, and The Tubes. She has also written and recorded for national and international films such as Georgia Rule and Princess Diaries 2.
David & Devine released their first EP in February of 2011. The self-titled EP features five original songs including single “’Til the Sun Comes Up” and fan favorite “Leave the Light On.” The music reflects a new age blues pop sound similar to what you would expect to hear if Elton John and Aretha Franklin decided to form a band. Todd Beauchamp, previously noted for his work with artists like Tony Lucca, Sara Bareilles, Tyler Hilton, and Mitchel Musso produced the album.
The duo filmed Sci-fi thriller-themed music video for their single “Til the Sun Comes Up” that was directed and produced by Cullen Wright and Cypress House. The video also stars actress Mariana Klaveno from the HBO show, True Blood and Caitlin Thompson from ABC Family’s, Greek. The video was released in April of 2011.
