From Richmond, Va (b.Nov 12, 1978), When I was 9 I heard the Beatles and fell in love. Got a guitar a few weeks later, and listened to a lot of "Oldies" type stuff - Beach Boys, Everly Brothers, Elvis, Chuck Berry, early Stones, Buddy Holly. Began writing songs at 11 and playing in clubs at 15. Made first solo album in 2000 (Sounds Off). Moved to Memphis, TN in 2001. I worked as a tour guide at Sun Studio (where Elvis and Johnny Cash began their careers). From '03-'09 I recorded 4 more albums in Memphis (3 of the 4 at Sun), and moved to San Jose, CA in the fall of '09. The new band is going into the studio in March of 2013 to begin work on a 6th David Brookings record
