"David Church named "Rising Legend""

David Church's performance at the recent National Old Time Country Music Festival in Missouri Valley, IA was spectacular! The president of the NTCMA, Bob Everhart stated, " I've NEVER heard anyone do Hank as well as David. It takes a lot these days to find that tricckle of pleasure that runs up and down the backbone, like it did when first hearing Hank Sr., the ONLY one that has ever done that for me in the past 50 years, is DAVID CHURCH!" The voice, unmistakeably Hank Williams. - NTCMA Bulletin

"David Church Has Talent"

David Church has Talent! The good part is, he doesn't copy Hank, but brings the work into focus. Both of his cd's have had great response from our audience. Very Well Produced! This artist is going places! - Bill Mack, XM Radio The Bill Mack Show

"David Church's "Custom Made" cd is top notch project"

Covering the range of some of the greatest country vocal styles ever recorded. The two artists compliment each other! This is a top notch project.
- Mule Dog Magazine

"Conway Twitty would be proud"

I just couldn't stop listening! From Hank Williams to BJ Thomas, this couple has it all. Great songs, excellent production. I can see why they are getting a lot of attention and airplay! Conway Twitty would be proud of Church!
Aaron Beck, July 2001 - Columbus Dispatch

Bio

From Appalachian Mountains of Ohio to Europe and National TV! Currently being featured regularly on RFD-TV's popular show, "Midwest Country”, David is now their most popular performer! The producer of Midwest Country, Joe Jenson stated, "David has something special, that same charisma that Hank had. When he walks on stage, the audience is spellbound! He is our most popular act!" He is considered by many to be the BEST Hank Williams Tribute artist, but he is also an incredibly talented singer/songwriter/entertainer in his own right! Midwest Country has also featured David and Terri Lisa performing original songs on their album, "Custom Made", and the response was just as incredible. Most of the songs on the album are written by David. They are receiving requests for copies of the album from fans and DJ's for radio play worldwide! The show is broadcast to over 130 Million via satellite and cable networks both nationally and regionally. The show features major artists such as Bill Anderson, Jean Shephard, and numerous others.
One of the highlights of David’s career was receiving the prestigious, "RISING LEGEND" award for 2006 from the NTCMA. Bluegrass superstar Rhonda Vincent was given the same award for her rise in bluegrass!
"A Legend Froze In Time," and other original songs David has written have been played on numerous radio stations throughout the world, including the popular XM radio show with legendary DJ, BILL MAC.
David's father and uncles were musicians, and he listened to the sound of their music, playing the banjo, guitar, lap steel before he could walk. He was captivated by all the early songs, but the most profound influence on his life was Hank Williams, Sr. David has been blessed to meet people from all over the world that share his enthusiasm for Hank and traditional country music. He learned to play rhythm guitar early and he started performing when he was only 8 years old. David's own buzz word for the traditional music he loves is "STRAIGHT UP COUNTRY" and he feels Hank's music is just as fresh and alive today as it was then.
David was contacted by CMT, and invited to perform at the 50th Anniversary Memorial. He performed with legendary steel guitarist, Don Helms. The response from the fans was incredible.
In March of 2003, David recorded, "A Legend Froze In Time" his tribute to Hank Williams, featuring Don Helms on steel guitar. He recorded a 20 minute interview on the album about his life and travels with Hank, and it is now considered a collectors item.
David and Terri Lisa have performed all over the world. They have met people of all ages who share the enthusiasm and love of Hank Williams and traditional "STRAIGHT UP country music."
Hanks music is more popular today throughout the world than ever before. His influence will continue to be as much a part of our future, as it has our past.
David is a member of CMA (Country Music Association) TCMA, BMI, and IFCO, (International Fan Club Organization)
"It has been an incredible honor and privilege to play a part in keeping traditional country music and this legend alive. And the best part is meeting the people worldwide that still love the sound of traditional country music, and knowing that I can bring to life once more the awesome sound of a legend that no one can ever surpass."
