"Oceans of Jokes, Rivers of Tears"

By the way, if any of you have never seen David Cope do comedy before (I hadn’t), you should. He killed it last night with this video. Watch it. The video is on Myspace, not Youtube, so I don’t know how to embed it, but let’s just say that the Myspace kids rated it “93% Booyah!” (Furthermore, Ari Spool, in a private communique which I will now make public, called David Cope “seriously the funniest guy in the city and totally going to take Hari’s place on the Seattle comedy throne.”)

"KEXP Podcast: Music That Matters, Vol. 105 - Comedy Edition, Vol. 1"

David Cope's "Round House Kick" is chosen to be included on this podcast along with heavy hitters like Todd Barry, Patton Oswalt, David Cross and Jim Gaffigan.

Bio

David graduated Baruch Business School in New York and found his first job working for Nike in Portland, OR. It was there he started performing and honing his dry, absurdist comedic approach. He kept it moving to Seattle and was drafted for Seattle’s Bumbershoot Comedy and Music festival and Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival. After time well spent it was back to New York where he was invited to perform the prestigious Moonwork comedy showcase. David currently resides in Brooklyn where he performs in clubs and theaters and lovingly runs his own comedy show out of Think Coffee in the Bowery district.
