Urban Rock: More than Music. It’s a lifestyle
Born in Brazil, David Correy faced tragedy early. Living in immense poverty, his birth mother was forced to place him up for adoption, in hopes he would receive a better life. Correy came to America in his infancy, with his adoptive parents raising him in Annapolis, MD.
His young music career took off immediately, allowing him to receive music scholarships from the Archbishop Spalding and a 4 year scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In college, the young Correy would face tragedy again, contracting a illness that made him lose his voice completely. The illness forced him to leave during his sophomore year. He left school but never gave up. He used his recovery time to compose music that spoke to him and the life that he was leading, blending pop melodies of Micheal Jackson, combined with soulful music styles of Ne-Yo placed over his band’s heavy guitar lead tracks he conceived the genre of Urban Rock. Armed with a powerful voice and style that knows no borders , the goal for Correy is to become the 21st century global pop star.
