Bio
Formed in Spring of 2008, the live hip hop band made an immediate strong impression by being hand-picked by Frank Iero (of My Chemical Romance) to open two sold-out nights at Congress Theatre in Chicago, opening for My Chemical Romance and Billy Talent. The overwhelmingly positive response secured them a Saturday night evening slot at The Bamboozle the following month (a 3-day event with over 20,000 concertgoers at Giants Stadium, with the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Gym Class Heroes, Snoop Dogg, and many others), which was immediately followed by an invite to support Ferret Record act The Banner on the road all summer. After returning home, David Costa quickly took the Chicago scene by storm, performing sold out shows at House of Blues and other legendary Chicago venues.
In Summer of 2009, the band took time off to record the much anticipated full-length, The Starving Artist (6/19/2010). After completing the record, they burst back onto the scene that Winter with a performance at Pete Wentz's famed hotspot, Angels & Kings, where they debuted much new material to a packed house.
In 2010, they were in and out of the studio to wrap up the album, while making sporadic performances at SXSW (as a daily staple in SXCHI, the 3-day Chicago showcase), a live performance on Chicago's JBTV (christening the new soundtage, and debuting JBTV's live streaming), and even performed at Q101's legendary Jamboree to a considerably massive crowd!
With The Starving Artist finally releasing on June 19th, the band has no intention of slowing down in their climb to the top of today's scene.
