Bio

In 2012, after relocating back to Kansas City, David George got a call from John Fogerty’s manager asking him to join John’s band. It was the gig of a lifetime with appearances on Letterman, Leno, the View and a sold out arena tour sharing the stage with the legendary John Fogerty. It was a dream job and opportunity that was difficult to set aside when George decided it was time to focus on his own material. George recently released two singles (“Shine” and “So You”) with bonus material and will be followed by the full length release of “Radiant Man” on UniGlobe Records. The “So You (Bonus Single EP)” was selected by Ink Magazine as one of the top new releases. During the excitement of the World Series being in Kansas City George was inspired to write a song for the city that has since become the Touchdown Anthem at Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs score.

Recently in the spring of 2015 George was offered a role in a new, bound-for-Broadway, rock & roll musical called Stillwater.  The play was written by Broadway writer Nathan Tysen and directed by Eric Rosen for the final show of the 2015 Kansas City Repertory Theater Season at the Spencer Theater in Kansas City.

George’s early musical memories are filled with the radio blaring the song of the day on long family road trips. “I was raised on big music from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin and love turning it up and disappearing in it!” David George and his band. A Crooked Mile, have shared the stage with The Lumineers, Robert Earl Keen, Jacob Dylan, Styx, Art Alexakis, REO Speedwagon, and Don Felder (Eagles) as well as performed at Boulevardia,The Crossroads Music Festival, MidCoast Takeover, South By Southwest, and The Folk Alliance Conference.
