Biography
I've messed around with music for some time now, and written a bunch of stuff which is not all of one kind...I'm starting to feel like it's coming together. Along the way I've had the privilege of working with some highly talented individuals. At the moment I'm mainly doing solo stuff, just because it's more portable. I sing mainly in English but sometimes in unknown languages resembling Klingon - make up your own meaning.
Influences include: Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, John Lee Hooker, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Taraf Di Haidouks, Marta Sebestyen, Led Zeppelin, Junior Marvin, Lee Scratch Perry, Bob Marley, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Screaming J Hawkins, The Doors, This Mortal Coil, S E Rogie, Ravi Shankar, Ivor Cutler, Yat Kha, Marc Bolan, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, John Martyn, Tinariwen, Queens Of The Stone Age, Kings of Leon, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, The Terem Quartet, Chopin, Le mystere des voix, Beethoven, Puccini, Corngold, Judie Tzuke, Syd Barrett, The Roches, Kate Bush, Coleridge, Dylan Thomas, Baudelaire, Kurusawa
Lyrics
Deadman's Creek
Written By: David Greenald
I'll be down beside the ocean in your dreams
I'll be deep inside your thoughts and your memories
When I'm gone when I'm long long gone
At the corner of the river where your moonshine shines on
I'll be fallen in the path of the unnamed truth
And proclaiming hallelujahs from your roof
I'll be wrong, I'll be wrong wrong wrong
And I'm coming out the rainstorm when the highway's all gone
She go hazy when the world fall at her feet
She go crazy like a whirlpool in the street
She grow strong, she grow strong strong strong
She'll be flowing down the river when the raincloud move on
You were painting all the chrome in Deadman's Creek
I wa' fallen in a coma could not speak
Come alone well be lonesome gone
We'll be riding on the skyway where the tombstones fall from
To the zombies in the ocean moonwalk show
You gotta hang on to heaven when hell says no
Shes a-coming after you, she wear a frail form
And you're caught amid the hailstones and the hellstorm
Well I told you not to monkey with the dark day
They got their hands on their faces five worlds away
And I'm long long long long long long gone
Inside my revolution
I'll be dancin' with the wolves and the unclaimed bones
I'll be speaking in my tongues and my quarter tones
Til I'm strong til I'm strong strong strong
I'll be feeling for you baby where your sunshine once shone

All She Dreamed
Written By: David Greenald
And all she dreamed it came and passed
But still the icy blast would call
And when she came to life again
The summer rain did fall
I saw you then I see you now
You walk upon the world somehow
With large-as-laughter ginseng skies
And sorrow's eyes
She barked along the one-way track
Wind at her back and world forlorn
The night went by with no surprise
Just shell-shocked eyes and pistols drawn
I saw you then I see you now
You walk upon the world somehow
With large as laughter ginseng skies
And sorrow's eyes
It was as if the moon would cry
The stakes were high the players small
The planets in the cosmic breeze were on their knees
The trees were tall
I saw you then I see you now
You walk upon the world somehow
With large as laughter ginseng skies
And sorrow's eyes

Old Crazy Moon
Written By: David Greenald
Old crazy moon at my back
Reason is walking but under attack
Seems like lately I can’t explain
They set the sun in plaster
And stole the rain
Move out the way
I’m old and grey
And memory’s slow and stalling
The night is now stone-walling the day
And I’m here to stay
Old crazy moon still fooling round
Footsteps tread on the frosted ground
In fools gold and common sense
I hold no degree
Lord knows there’s rainclouds hanging over me
Move out the way
I’m old and grey
And memory’s slow and stalling
The night is now stone-walling the day
And I’m here to stay
