Now that I am retired from CITY COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO after teaching Jazz Studies for 30 years, and a total of 45 years, I am continuing to embark upon my career of Performing, Recording, Writing and Traveling. DAVID HARDIMAN’S COMBOS have successfully performed over thirty years for a variety of events mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area and California. We welcome the opportunity to perform at your next event when we are on tour in your area.

DAVID HARDIMAN’S COMBOS perform in the styles of Swing, Be-Bop, Cool, Contemporary, and Top 40 Styles. Our five up to nineteen piece professionals have performed, recorded, traveled, and associated with such notables as TONY BENNETT, “DIZZY” GILLESPIE, EARL “FATHA” HINES, RAY CHARLES, FREDDIE HUBBARD, “SUN-RA”, etc. The unique song styles of featured vocalist, MARY STALLINGS (formerly with “COUNT” BASIE), NINA CAUSEY, DENISE PERRIER, KIM NALLEY and JAMEY DAVIS (formerly with “COUNT” BASIE) are reminiscent of BILLIE HOLIDAY, DINAH WASHINGTON, NANCY WILSON and JOE WILLIAMS. DAVID ANTHONY HARDIMAN, JR. Performs music from LIONEL RICHIE, MICHAEL JACKSON, GEORGE BENSON, COOL AND THE GANG, ETC. Collectively we have performed all over the world.

With the KEN BURNS "Jazz Series" on T.V., the general public is a little more educated about Jazz than ever before. This is a good time to keep the memories alive of the great musicians that have contributed so much to the Jazz Art Form. I am performing special concerts or club dates featuring the music of Jazz Masters such as “CHARLIE" PARKER, “DIZZY” GILLESPIE", MILES DAVIS, “CANNONBALL” ADDERLY, HORACE SILVER, JOHN COLTRANE, HERBIE HANCOCK, WAYNE SHORTER, FREDDIE HUBBARD, MCCOY TYNER, CLIFFORD BROWN, THELONIUS MONK and LEE MORGAN, etc. If you are interested in us performing any of the above artist music at your venue, please indicate which one when contacting me. Almost annually the SAN FRANCISCO ALL-STAR BIG BAND has performed tributes to "COUNT" BASIE and "DUKE" ELLINGTON.

I am also pleased to inform you that we can accommodate any musical requirements with a single musician to nineteen pieces,” SAN FRANCISCO ALL-STAR BIG BAND”, depending on your needs and budget. My Quintet, Sextet or Septet has been very successful in recording, traveling, and performing in many situations that our Big Band can't do because of budget and logistics. We are flexible with our budget in order to fit your budget!

I have performed personally in Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara and Mazatlan Mexico. Played with "ST. GABRIELS CELESTIAL BRASS BAND" in Pori, Finland. Vitoria, Bilbao & Getxo Spain.. Escalades, Andorra. “North Sea Jazz Festival” in den Hague, Netherlands, Umbria, Salerno, Bologna, Pescara, Mosciano, Abruzzo, Lecce, Prugia, Pompei, Serre, Italy. “Indy Jazz Fest.” and “Indiana State Fair”, Indianapolis, Ind. Played with MITCH WOODS AND HIS ROCKET 88'S at the "Umbria Jazz Festival", Umbria Italy. Played personally in Goiania, Goias, Brazil. Caymen, St. Thomas & Freeport, Bahama Islands. San Francisco Jazz Festival, and just about every major city in the U.S.
