Bio

I grew up listening pop punk bands and I was inspired to make music which sounded like that with a twist.... So i took out the band!

I started out playing drums for an Indie Rock band called Inertia and we gigged in and around London. When we all dispersed and went to different unis it began to die down and so I picked up a guitar and began to teach myself. Then came the songwriting!

My lyrical influences come from bands like Brand New, Incubus, Johnny Cash, Fall Out Boy, Frank Turner and Alanis Morisette.

I didn't start song writing until I was about 18 so I guess I still have some things to learn... but then I guess you could be 80 years old and have been playing for 65 years and still have things to learn. I like each of my songs to sound different. I want people to be able to relate to my songs, even if it's just one! I like to write about the things that affect me the most and so I think they are the sort of things which affect a lot of people and if my songs make them feel then I've done what I wanted.

My passion for singing and songwriting took it's place firmly in the summer of my 20th year when I went to America to teach kids to play guitar and drums and to sing. I played to a room of 600 kids and had them all singing along and that was one of the most amazing feelings in the world!

I think it's time I got my music out to a wider audience.
