On so many roads of this planet with a vast experience of song writing and playing, the road brought me to Kingston Jamaica. Not many tourist end up in Kingston and it was an unusual list of events that brought me to recording these wonderful tracks at Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica. Close to the water on a sweltering hot day, I struck up a comversation with an older Jamaican man name Mr. Williams who after a few moments began to explain to me how many reggae artist that he knew in that town.I couldn't believe it, nor did I. Then he told me he knew Jimmy Cliff's guitar player who was just right around the corner at a record shop. Curious, I walked over, and was in fact introducted to Jimmy Cliff's guitar player and later that afternoon we were at Jimmy Cliff's house jamming in the back garage studio until all hours of the night. One thing led to another, and soon after that day, I was there every day, rehearsing with his band, getting ready to go to Bob Marley's studio to lay down the tracks. Music is a magic within itself. It was there that I hooked up with all the very popular singers that you see listed on this CD.
