Bio
Growing up in Guelph, Ontario David Maranta must have been breathing the air of music and creativity. beacuse Guelph continues to have a vibrant music scene. The only thing missing was a guitar - his first true love. That didn't occur till his Bramalea-Bramton years. David has been playing guitar, harmonica and writing songs for over thirty years. In the 1970's and 80's he toured southern Ontario with the bands Vision and the New Men. Although he is debuting his first full length CD he appeared as a harmonica player on a few albums, realeased 3 demos with the bands and his songs have been featured on 3 compilation projects.
Sunrise on Jupiter's Moon is an entirely self-produced effort. Most tracks get the full band treatment but David is the entire band. Often, these days you will find Dave playing solo or jamming with a few musicians at folk clubs in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of southern Ontario
