Bless This House

Written By: David McLachlan/Shelly Gorchynski

BLESS THIS HOUSE

You are my kinda gal
With you I have found
A lover and a friend
For all these years
I watch you come up the drive
Oh man I feel alive
You walk in
And tell me how you feel

God bless this house that is our home (I)
To this house that is our home (II)
We’ll never be alone
Waltz me ‘round the kitchen one more time
God bless this house that is our home
With you I’ll never roam
You make coming home feel oh so right

That fine day you walked the aisle
With your daddy and a smile
Standing arm in arm
We pledged our love
We danced ‘round the floor that night
You held me close
Pulled me tight
Whispered in my ear lets head on back

Though tough times have come along
The sun has always shone

In this house that is our home
Our love has truly grown
Waltz me ‘round the kitchen one more time
God bless this house that is our home
No sweeter place I’ve known
You make coming home feel oh so right David McLachlan
You make coming home feel oh so right Shelly Gorchynski

We Got Love

Written By: David McLachlan

WE GOT LOVE

We don’t have lots of money
We don’t have lots of things
but we have each other to keep it happening
I thank my lucky star
for bringing me to you
and I know you feel the same way too
We’ve got love
You can bank on that

I’m strumming my six string
at the end of the day
You give me that look to come upstairs and play
I know that dreams come true
I see it in your eyes
Man I’m such a lucky guy
We’ve got love
You can bank on that

Some folks never find happiness
They somehow lose their way
You and I get by on love
Living from pay to pay

I wake up in the morning
I see your smiling face
I know within my heart there is no better place
When the day is done
The kids are all tucked in
You’re back in my arms again
We’ve got love
You can bank on that

We don’t have lots of money
We don’t have lots of things
We’ve got big dreams to keep it happening
I thank my lucky star
for bringing me to you
and I know you feel the same way too
We’ve got love we’ve got love
You can bank on that

Memories Of You

Written By: David McLachlan

MEMORIES OF YOU

Together we danced as lovers and friends
And followed that road wherever it lead
We never cared what tomorrow would bring
With the sun at our backs and the wind in our wings

We must have known deep down in our hearts
That gypsies like us are destined to part
A whispered good-bye a kiss in the night
Now all that I have to keep you in mind are my

Little songs and the memories we made
They help me hold on to you
So I’ll always be in good company
Just me and my memories of you

Sometimes I wonder where you might be
When I think of you are you thinking of me
Were we just fools when we let love go
“cause dancing with you sure beats dancing alone to my

Dusty Boots

Written By: David McLachlan

DUSTY BOOTS

I just returned from the leather shop
I left my boots for repair
They weathered time over the miles
And I thought it only fair
Thought it only fair
Thought it only fair

Dusty boots your skin has changed
From young to that of old
But you wear it with a dignity
That was not there when you were sold
Not there when you were sold
Not there when you were sold

Dusty boots you’ve carried me
So far along the road
You’ve carried me through danger
You’ll carry me through stories yet untold
Stay true my dusty boots
Stay true my dusty boots

Dusty boots you never know
How far you have to run
Remember then to just enjoy
When you walk in to the sun
Walk in to the sun
Walk in to the sun

I just returned from the leather shop
I got my boots from repair
When I pulled them on
They seemed to say the open road’s out there
The open road’s out there
The open road’s out there

Dusty boots carry me
Once more along the road
Carry me through danger
Carry me through stories yet untold
Stay true my dusty boots
Stay true my dusty boots
