Biography

David Oakleaf and the Open Road are a band with a style ranging from alt country to southern infused rock-n-roll and they are quickly becoming one of Nashville’s sounds to be heard. With colorful characters hailing from Kansas to Georgia all the way down under to Australia, this stripped down 4-piece is sure to bring a high energy rock show that will leave crowds buzzing.
Hailing from a tiny town in Kansas, frontman David Oakleaf (you may recognize him from season 1 of CMT's Can You Duet - he placed 5th in the nation wide competition) was raised in the life of a cowboy and music was his refuge. Influenced by the likes of George Strait all the way to Led Zeppelin to Pearl Jam, Oakleaf certainly puts his own twist on rock infused alt country with infectious songs that keep you singing them all night.
Currently David Oakleaf and The Open Road are in the studio working on their debut album.
