David Patrone

David Patrone

Nostalgic but offering something new, David Patrone exudes swanky style and panache, playing musical compositions from the golden age of American Popular Music. He croons and delivers Jazz standards with the distinctive swagger reminiscent of the Jazz and Big Band Leaders of the 30's and 40's.

David Patrone is San Diego's most booked musician, performing Jazz Vocal standards in a style that is reminiscent of Sinatra, Bennett, Harry Connick Jr., and others of the golden era of American Popular music. You might consider him a more egdy, energetic, Michael Buble He's not an impersonator; he's definitley an original. He brings panache and a unique style to the stage. His Jazz ensembles feature the best musicians in any given region. David works with ensembles all over the country which he can all on to perform with him almost anywhere. His story is unique: United States Marine Aviation Ordnance Technician for 10 years, Computer Specialist/IT manager, American Mensan, Writer, Musician, comedian, Ski Instructor, Golfer, Harmonicist, and Recovering addict; David's life experiences give him an added mystique on stage without being the same tired, cheesy entertainer you see in every throwback Vegas Lounge Act. David Patrone is an entertainer of the highest order and a legitimate Jazz singer.

Winter Angels

Written By: David B Williams Jr.

I met an angel on a path
Surrounded all in white.
His name he never said to me,
(I hadn't thought he might).
Though he: depressed and silent,
I happied at the sight;
and watched at angels following,
toward some ruckus bright.

A group of children played ahead
And laughing as I passed
I child-reflected winter days
and angels in my past
I pressed along much greater than
the man just moments last

All day they played,
more angels made,
til' Mother's whistle blast.

Lyrics to Freddie Hubbard's tune of the same name

Every day I roam the valleys
I climb the mountains and go over the fields
I can't believe it's this real
and maybe next time I will bring you along.

And every day I'm wondering as I am wandering
I'm lookin' to feel it whether it's happy or sad
I try to describe it in song
I hope you have the mind to follow along

And even though that usually
when I explore
The scenery
That I'm alone
It doesn't mean
That I don't need
The company
Of someone who feeels the same
For nature's beauty;
And all of the joy it springs

So if you're interested,
I've got a suggestion
full of adventure;
of family and strife
Not just for this week but for life
If you're a traveler, I'll make you my wife
