Biography

David Pearsall comes from New Jersey and lives in New York City. His music comes from the place where heart and mind fight it out: where the ideal meets the dirt. Inspired by the fierce simplicity of Johnny Cash, the spiritual urgency of U2, the lyrical precision of Dylan and the personal post-apocalyptic landscapes of Radiohead, his songs all speak of the necessity of conflict and the choices we are left with: resolution or dissolution. These are simple songs about the complex nature of life.

Lyrics

Pull Yourself Together

Written By: David Pearsall

Are you lonely
Feeling crazy sometimes
And does it take you too long
To fall asleep at night

Is this life too much
Is this road too rough
Or is your skin too tough
Have you had enough of lying
To prove you're right

Come on and pull yourself together
Don't let the night be all you see
Because you know there's something better
So pull yourself together
Please

You get that feeling
Like you're drowning
Like you're anchored to nothing
Just drifting away

You just want to make love
To see what you're made of
But you can never make enough
Cause you're so afraid of losing
Everything

Come on and pull yourself together
Don't let the night be all you see
Because you know it's now or never
So pull yourself together
Pull yourself together

Come on and pull yourself together
Come on and stay awake with me
Because it all depends of whether
You pull yourself together
So pull yourself together
Please
