David Peters

David Peters is an American songwriter/producer currently based between London and Los Angeles. He usually just follows the opportunity to work on interesting projects, wherever they might be. These projects usually dictate the touring schedule and the ability to eat and buy new plane tickets for more projects and therefore more food and plane tickets.

David's demeanor is one of someone who is always fighting the battle of self-importance verses self-depricating modesty. He has the typical shape and wanderlust that timelessly comes with the job. There is a love and hate of the "cult of personality", an interest in the cosmos, an addiction to sugar and vintage microphones, and a constant nagging voice asking if he should have taken a straight job. The songs are about girls, god, and goodbyes. They say happy things in sad ways. He likes dealing directly with the elephant in the room, perhaps even to a fault. The hits are genuine the same as the misses.

Through his travels, David has earned a reputation as a writer and performer as well as an innovative and effective producer. Having studied with producer David Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Weezer, Modest Mouse), Peters has found the same flare for robust and atmospheric arrangements in his own work. He loves working with the best of his songwriting contemporaries as well as projects he refers to as "sonicly rediculous".

Currently, David is working on his 2007 release, touring both the US and UK, and producing projects in several cities throughout both countries along the way.
