18 Year Old Man

Written By: David Rakower

Once upon a time back in 76… When all you could remember was those Hippie Chicks

With them skippin and a hoppin through the clouds in your mind and all you can do is say they’ll be back in my world sometime.

Now here we are again rollin round in the van, lookin out for all the trouble; fallin out in the sand.

I can clearly see right now what I could not see then
Im a 30-year Old Boy that began as an 18-year Old Man.

Looking on with my conceptual way….It really feels like I’m going to seize that day

When you see me walkin through all the mud and the rain, just understand that I’m telling you that I’ve come on my way.

Oh, I’ve Come on my Way.

Ohhhh…. And, Forever and Together just like Biggest and Fan. There words used together without caution or ban

With motives driving lovers into immediate needs…Make sure to not confuse my ambition with your intolerant greed.

I’m comin into town with all with all my plans in a bag, pulling out a trick or two with my future at hand.

Don’t assume to know the answer at your first time too, one day can mean the difference in the reality of thinking things through.

Looking on with my conceptual way….It really feels like I’m going to seize that day

When you see me walkin through all the mud and the rain, just understand that I’m telling you that I’ve come on my way.

Oh, I’ve Come on my Way.

Goin' Down Again

Written By: David Rakower

Comin’ down in the Early Morn.
Fresh eyed Sprit and a 2-bit horn
Plan on playin my life away again.

Walkin down with a strut I found
When I picked myself up and turned my life around
Now I’m lookin to pay it all back again.

When I’m goin down again.
I’ll bounce to the rhythym that I learned from my friends.
Look for another day to where I can stand on my own.

When I’m goin down again.
I’ll know the difference between all the ones I call my friends.
When I’m goin down again

Remember Days when my Daddy said,
Boy, you gotta keep moving, time will never rest.
Now keep your head in game and be the best.

Now I look and see the man I am
A Buttoned up Hero in a No-Man’s Land
Can’t wait to turn it around again.

When I’m goin down again.
I’ll bounce to the rhythym that I learned from my friends.
Look for another day to where I can stand on my own.

When I’m goin down again.
I’ll know the difference between all the ones I call my friends.
When I’m goin down again

Rebuilding Neville's Town

Written By: David Rakower

Well, It Started with the days when World went down.

Flying from the sky was our hopes fallen round

With the ash on our eyes and hopes on our chest

We turned and called it the Devils Nest.

Now you turn and you think about what came next

The endless search for where that Satan Rests.

Lookin back, its become a world on fire.

Children playing heroes as Guns for Hire.

Keep on dreamin little girl as the Rain comes down.

They’ll be here pretty soon; here in Neville’s town.

Don’t you worry what you here as the cars float by

I’m gonna take you to the home where the Saints can fly.

Now the time has come and the world is turned.

Lookin all around and home is burned.

For those people that haven’t heard about Nevelle’s town.

I’m built it back with all the force that took my Angel down.
Seeing all my Brothter’s in my Mother’s Eyes

Protecting all my dreams in the world of lies.

Comin on down with all my faith in my hands

Sayin Momma how I love how you Understand

And the hopes can float can float while the dreams get lost.

They say Change is coming but at who’s cost.

Johnnys back behind the bar cause his home’s Underground

Kids are eatin TV Dinners that his girlfriend found.

Thinkin back to glory that we had in this town

Limos and Cocaine was your Fueling Ground

Now the Crash on the Wall and Stench on the Deck

Left a Humbled man with his Hallowed Debt

Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel

Keep your hopes and dreams away from that Devils Deal

The day are upon us when we turn it around.

Like the day we rebuilt Nevelle’s Town!
That was the Day that we took the Devil Down!

On The Bayou

Written By: David Rakower

Well, I'm Headin on Down to NOLA.
And then I'm lookin' for the Vibe to carry me away.
And then I'm sittin' back and wonderin' if my Perceptions are True.
Stop Back, Clear my Mind, and Follow the Groove.... Oh Yea.

Well I'm takin a ride on the Cajun Queen
and then I'm Dancin' to the Bluegrass with no shoes on my feet
And then I'm lookin through the crowd, I fixate on you.
and well be skippin and a hoppin upstream on the Bayou.

Oh the Bayou....

I need no Midwest Girls or no New York Ladies
Need no Florida Gals or LA Babies
Lookin for me is where I'll find you
and we'll be skippin and a hoppin through the fields of the Bayou...

Oh the Bayou....

And then I wake up this morning down on Montague.
And all I can see is me lookin through the eyes of
You dance around the Fire and you walk on the Flames
You're runnin 'round my mind and drivin me Insane.....

Ohhhh..... and your drivin me Insane.... Girl... That's right you're drivin me Insane.

Oh, you Cultivate my Mind and Captivate my Soul
I'll be hummin your perfection till Eternity folds.
Can fate bring us together or the common tune
or the Rhythmical connection we can only find on the Bayou...

Sittin' there with you down on the Bayou...

Writin' Songs with you down on the Bayou....

Makin' love with you down on the Bayou.....

It's all the same, Girl... Me and you are just Notes down on the Page.
It's all the same, Girl... Me and you are just Notes down on the Page.
Goin my way Girl.... Sittin there with you on the Dock of the Bay.
Goin my way, Girl... Me and you are just Notes down on the Page.

In Plain View

Written By: David Rakower

Back in those Days when you were Nearly Grown.
Back in the Days when you were Never Alone.
Hearin' Momma's voice in the next yard a' callin.
Throw the next pitch, Finish up Whiffle Ballin'

Take the time, Look and see.
All the Damn times back in History.
When all the matter, Win or Lose, is that you threw your angle.
Curve the Ball around the Back, Hit the Chair, and Skip your Fandango.

Woooo...... That's right a' Fandango...

Remember those nights when you moved me away.
Remember those nights when you told me to stay.
Meetin by the Church before the School Bells a' ringin.
Sittin by the Gym....Be Careful of what your bringing.

Look around, Stand your Ground,
When the time comes the'll be noone around.
Just the thoughts that burn your head as you kill yourself thinkin.
'bout the times you over-did and the words you thought you'd be Singin'

Then those Times they come around
When you can't seem to find while your lookin around.
And then you catch yourself lookin fro the Days that Blew on By.

And then, by now you've found, with your feet on the ground, oh, that I'm your Biggest Fan in Town.
You go round and round to your Perfect Place
When you move you can see your Simple Face.

Catchin fly balls on the side of the Van.
Playin Sock, runnin 'round Kickin the Can
Blockin off the streets and gettin yelled to "Be Careful"
Hidin out and Smoking your first time out of that Apple.

Runnin back so you can see all the Family's gathered around with Peaches and Cream.
And now the Times have Changes, but you Smile and Stay Thankful!
Bring it Back, Jump around, Skip to your Old Fandango.

Oh.....Oh.....Oh.....

That's right a' Fandango.

Back in those Days when you were Nearly Grown.
Back in the Day when you were Never Alone.
Hearin momma's voice in the next yard a' callin.
Throw the next pitch, Finish up Whiffle Ballin'

Take the time, Look and see.
All the Damn times back in History.
When all the matter, Win or Lose, is that you threw your angle.
Curve the Ball around the Back, Hit the Chair, and Skip your Fandango.

Wow...... That's right Fandango...

And I Know

Written By: David Rakower

Takin back now to the end of the street,
when the rain comes down and pours underneath my feet
I wish had my shoes, I wasn't feelin so crash.
Should go and grab that dollar that just floated past.

And my toes are feelin tired, I've got a cramp in my calf
The fact that I am thinkin' like this makes me laugh
'cause I know I'm just diverting from the usual facts
Perceptional reality that never lasts...

And I Know, And I Know, That I will never doubt my Soul
And I Know, And I Know, Looking back always tells me so.

I know what I want and I know who I am
The same erratic person that holds his heart in his hands
And I Know... When I go....
You'll finally get to see what I know.

OK, well now I'm runnin back to Susie's on the end of the street
with my passion runnin wild just like an African beat
I can barely feel my heart it's bustin through my shirt
Everytime I think about her finger ridin up her skirt

And with her delicate eyes and her devilish laugh
She makes break that paddle right over her ass
And I can never feel the same when I leave that day
Almost like I compromised my ethical ways.

And I Know, And I Know, That I will never doubt my Soul
And I Know, And I Know, Looking back always tells me so.

I know what I want and I know who I am
The same erratic person that holds his heart in his hands
And I Know... When I go....
You'll finally get to see what I know.

I'm goin down the stretch, I'm feeling the rest
They seem to drop like flies right out of their nest
And then they never look on back and they are certain for sure
Even all the ones that haven't quite matured

And now I'm stoppin the time, I takin a stand
Shakin fist in the air, Drawin lines in the sand.
I will never go back to my almost did's
'cause I'm the one that has to look in the eye's of my kids.

And I Know, And I Know, That I will never doubt my Soul
And I Know, And I Know, Looking back always tells me so.

I know what I want and I know who I am
The same erratic person that holds the world in his hands
And I Know... When I go....
You'll finally get to see what I know.
