Bio
The new CD from the David Reavis Band - “Turn” - is a smokin’ collection of tracks inspired by classic rock pioneers such as Led Zepplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rush, Sound Garden, Alice In Chains, Rare Earth, Grand Funk Railroad, ZZ Top and Ozzy to name a few. Foot stompers on the CD “Make Me Feel That Way” and “Get Me Back To You” share the stage with more introspective tunes such as “Higher Plan” and “Useless Conversation”, while tracks “Criminal” and “Say Goodbye” are just good ol’ full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes rockers.
When you see them perform live, prepare yourself for an intense musical experience, as David Reavis backs his vocals with incredible guitar riffs and runs. David’s style of writing and playing will put a smile on your face as he deftly twists and turns a phrase from where you think it’s headed into completely new uncharted territory. Tripp Thomas adds another exciting dimension as he holds down a steady bass groove, punctuated by blistering fretwork of his own; and Steve “Gee” provides what is best described as an “explosive foundation” on drums, alternating between intricate patterns and rock solid back beats.
This band of experienced and talented pros is a real breath of fresh air in an industry that has often become stale and commercially predictable – where the music itself often takes a back seat to 2 dimensional celebrity “posers”. The David Reavis Band will restore your faith in real music that you’ll feel in your bones, and that will have you up on your feet!
