David Rivera

David Rivera is a 24 year old Drummer from San Juan,Puerto Rico active in the music scene in Boston. At the age of 18 years old, David begun playing in the christian music scene in his Native country with artist such as Claudina Brinn, Ramon Cruz, and others. In 2004 he recived the Berklee College Of Music World Tour Scholarship at The Heineken Jazz Fest, to attend this Prestigious music school, where he is now on his Last semester of a dual major of Performance and Music Education. Over 3 years of professional music work concentrated on teaching, arranging, composing, and performing various music genres including Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Rock and Pop.Performed with Grammy Award Winner and Dove award winner legendary Gospel Singer Ron Kenoly, renowned Latin Singer and Ruben Blades, and Vibraphonist Victor Mendoza. Worked in studio sessions with Marc Quiñones, Fernando Huergo, Aruan Ortiz, Kevin Harris, Mango Blue, Fernando Brandao and Bassists Oscar Stagnaro. In addition, official Drum set Player of the Eguie Castillo’s "Mambo King" Big Band and Latin Jazz Band. Also, guest Drum set Player with various bands/trios/quartets in a variety of venues including the Regatta Bar, Scullers, Ryles Jazz Club and Outerland Club at Martha’s Vineyard.
