Los Angeles-native, David Rosales, and his touring band of Scoundrels bring their sun-soaked, heart on the sleeve Americana goodtime music to the stage for an immersive new roots experience.

A sound that pairs well with contemporaries they have shared the stage with in Ben Harper, Brandi Carlile, Matt Costa, The White Buffalo, Donavon Frankenreiter and Steep Canyon Rangers.

In his acclaimed 2018 full-length debut album, Brave Ones, Rosales showcases his songwriting prowess throughout the 11 tracks as he seamlessly blends his vintage sonic tastes with fresh vision.

Crediting his love of classic Rhythm & Blues and Country & Western singers Sam CookeRay Charles and Johnny Cash, coupled with his admiration for modern day troubadours the likes of Amos LeeNathaniel Rateliff and Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) as being influential in the writing and recording process.

Brave Ones marked Rosales’ third collaboration with co-producer, friend and Donavon Frankenreiter sideman, Matt Grundy (Along the Way ep, On the Sea ep).

Looking for a change in scenery, the duo recorded at Super Bloom Studios — a log cabin studio that rests on the edge of the wind-swept expanse known as the Mojave Desert in the shadow of Southern California’s Mount San Antonio. The duo thrived in this remote location, which became an unequivocal inspiration for the recording sessions.

The album has grown to become even more than the music itself when Rosales co-founded the Orange County, CA based BraveOnes Foundation – a  501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to raising awareness and resources that allow children in need to focus on the joys of being a child

Rosales proudly uses Godin Guitars, Quilter Amplification, QSC Audio, Kyser Musical Products, L.R. Baggs and Logas Leatherworks.
