David Ross (born Indianapolis, Indiana October 18,1958) is an American singer/songwriter of Traditional Country and Americana music currently residing in Naples, Florida. David Ross’ style is simple and direct in the manner of Prine, Van Zandt, and Earl.
Growing up in central Indiana, Ross was exposed to the cornerstone recordings of Hank Williams Sr. at an early age. Williams’ music quickly defined for Ross, a taste in music that endures to this day. The simple melodies and true to life narratives soon had Ross embracing the traditionalist philosophy espoused by Williams himself: that country music was simply “white man’s blues”.
