Bio

Born in Tampa Florida David grew up playing 6 and 7 nights a week for many years in the dance clubs of Tampa during the Disco Era of the 1970's. Growing tired of the dance club environment David began a journey of self discovery and study, as well as a working career as a jazz musician in Tampa's elite jazz circuit well into the 1980's, eventually leaving to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1985. After 2 years of study he moved from Boston to NYC and began playing his way up the ladder of the Blues, Rock, Jazz, Latin, Urban and World Music scenes of NYC. During this era David survived only by playing the bass, never having to take a "day job" in the 13 years that he lived in NYC, working the jazz and blues clubs at night and playing rock and roll rehearsals and showcases during the day, occasionally taking Broadway and off Broadway shows, playing in unusual settings such as the Big Apple Circus pit band, working in multiple wedding and party bands, joined countless rock bands, and a variety of artistic nonpaying original music gigs. After touring with many famous rock and pop acts through the 80's and 90's, and seeking to expand his musical knowledge and broaden his career, David moved to Nashville in the late 90's which boasted a thriving music scene. Thrust into unfamiliar territory David was forced to pay his way by playing his bass and once again never had to take a day gig.
David continues to live and work in Nashville where he records in the studios by day and plays live around town in the many music venues. He also tours the world intermittently with rock legend John Fogerty and has for 13 years.
