Bio

David was born on January 25th, 1972, in the historical city of Rome, NY.

Rome is home to a variety of famous people and events, including Francis Bellamy; the author of the Pledge of Allegiance, and Woodstock '99.

David is the youngest of four children born to Richard E. Sr. and Charlotte Ann Marie Marsh. He has two older brothers; James Vernon and Richard E. Jr, and one older sister; Kami Lynne.

David's interest in music began when he was around six years old. He would play and sing along to his parent's eight track cassette tapes of country, gospel and rock-n-roll.

Recognizing his love for music, David's father bought him his first guitar when he turned seven.

David's first public singing performance was in the childrens' church choir on a Sunday morning. He sang "Jesus Loves Me" for the congregation, got a standing ovation and was awarded his very first Bible.

David's largest influence in music was his mother Charlotte. She would serenade the family with old fashioned country tunes as she went about her daily routine as a loving mother and dedicated wife. She had the voice of an angel. She too dreamed of becoming a professional singer herself, but her dream was never realized. She passed away from cancer on September 10th, 1988 when she was forty years old.

Devastated by his mother's death, David's life took a sharp turn which lead him down a long road of alcohol and drug abuse, jails and eventually prison. Looking back, David now believes this was the time that God and his mother (David's true Higher-Power) used to redirect his attention back to music.

During his incarceration he spent countless hours very day relearning guitar skills and sharpening his craft as a song-writer and singer. Before his release in 1998, David had written nearly 63 original songs.

In Nashville, TN, he played in renown places such as the Blue Bird Cafe and Tootsies Orchid Lounge. He also recorded his first single, "All I Wanna Be."

For the next ten years, David continued to play his music in various places across the country. From Kalispell, Montanna to Ft. Pierce, Forida, David shared his music with anyone and everyone who would listen.

On May 18th, 2009 David's persistence finally paid off as he found himself on National Television performing a favorite Garth Brooks song for the NBC Today Show hosts.

Following his performance on the Today Show, David was then featured as a semi-finalist on America's Got Talent in Hollywood, California.

Since his successes this past spring and summer, David has continued to work toward signing a recording contract with a Major Independent Music Label.
