Bio
I've been performing my own piano- and guitar-based music for close to 25 years. I've won a few aawards over the years, most recently the Kerrville New Folk Award at the 2005 festival. Comparisons are inevitable, and the names I get most often are Randy Newman, Loudon Wainwright III, Bruce Cockburn, and Tom Waits. Those are influences, along with people like Joni Mitchell and folkies like Cliff Eberhardt and Cosy Sheridan. The strength of my music is in my lyrics, but I get gigs based on my instrumental work as well. Somebody thought I was George Winston once, but then they thought I was really Wynton Marsalis, so it may have been nothing.
