Bio

A regular commentator on television networks, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and Court TV, Worby has become a national spokesperson for victims’ rights.

As an artist, Worby’s recent works are gaining a national audience. His incredible musical family (his sister conducts the Pasadena Pops Orchestra and his brother is the Executive Director of the Princeton Symphony), is but one reason for the passion and flow of music and writing in his life. “Very Truly Yours”, his play starring Eddie Albert, Jr., opened to excellent reviews in Los Angeles while his screenplay, “Rym And The LDs”, starring Snoop Dogg and Ice-T begins filming next spring. Several of David’s songs are now under publishing contracts in Nashville and his soon to be recorded song, “Tell Me Why”, has been signed to a deal with Cherry Lane Music.

Concluding a recent performance at Nashville’s renowned Bluebird Café and preparing for his next two hour live show and web-cast, “David Worby And Friends” at Los Angeles’ celebrated music venue Kulak’s Woodshed, David’s recent music projects include co-writings with Jeff Silbar (“Wind Beneath My Wings”), Maia Sharp (Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood), Karen Staley (Reba, Faith Hill) and numerous others.

“When folks hear David Worby’s songs such as “From Now On” or “I Believe In Forever”, they would rightly figure that these beautifully crafted, midtempo compositions could fit equally well in the pop, rock or country music scene. David has the rare gift of being able to write successfully in all genres of music.” Phil Sweetland, New York Times
