Band leader Dave Yonker said their music “has a message of the goodness of our God, along with a sound which stimulates and captivates people of all ages.”

“We believe strongly in the power of music and the lyrics in the songs to inspire others and we are excited to be performing at the Howmet Playhouse for the first time and raise money for this great organization,” Yonker said in a press release.

The band has performed at the Unity Christian Music Festival in Muskegon before and plays around the state on a regular basis. All the band members have a life-long love of music. From Big Rapids, the band features a variety of musicians from different musical backgrounds.

“We are happy to present the David Yonker Band and have a chance to raise some funds for Family Promise of the Lakeshore, a great organization doing good work in our community,” said Katie Trzaska, Playhouse managing director. “We hope those in attendance will enjoy the music and be generous in their donations.”

Family Promise of the Lakeshore is a nonprofit organization that seeks to help families of Northern Ottawa and Muskegon counties that are going through homelessness. Family Promise works with 13 host churches and eight support churches of different denominations to provide housing and services in the Muskegon area.

Tickets are required, as seating is limited. Tickets can be picked up at Whitehall City Hall, 405 E. Colby St., or at the door at the night of the performance.

The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Howmet Playhouse, located on 304 S. Mears Ave. in Whitehall. Doors will open for general admission seating at 7 p.m. Goodwill donations will be collected at City Hall and the night of the show in lieu of a ticket price.

Bio

The David Yonker Band is comprised of multi-generational rockers who demonstrate that Rock & Roll does not discriminate based on age! The message of our lyrics is carried by a sound that stimulates and captivates people of all ages. We believe strongly in the power of music and its ability bring people to a place of worship before the King of Kings and challenge their walk with Christ.

We know how important music is in the lives of people. They memorize songs every day which have lyrics leading them down lifes path of destruction. We want to share songs, which still allow a person to express themselves outwardly, yet reach deep into their souls spiritually.
