Les chansons de Davy Sicard affrontent tous les paradoxes habituellement poss par la World Music. Chez ce descendant d'une famille runionnaise, n en mtropole, la dmarche musicale se confond avec une recherche identitaire. Il a choisi de jouer le Maloya, un style ancestral et inaccessible, dont les origines se perdent au temps de l'esclavage et de la colonisation.
